Scary Godmother by Jill Thompson! I went to Art School with her and we sat across from each other in Illustration class. Back then she was doing pencils for Speed Racer comics. So cool.

I've read some of her works, Sandman and the related, Fables and other DC/Vertigo stuff.
Sandman as whole would be one of my top choices, but to name just one I guess I'll have to go with Corto Maltese by Hugo Pratt (as that's my avatar).

I've been wanting to check out Fables ever since I played 'Wolf Among Us'.

My favs:

BOOM! Studios' Fiction Squad, Space Warped, Mech Cadet Yu
Image: Copperhead and Saga
Marvel: Spider-Man: Blue
Creator's Edge Press: Jeff
Mad Cave Studios: Pretty much everything of theirs
Source Point Press: Ogre, Ogres, Broken Gargoyles, Shelter Division, Salvagers
Vault: These Savage Shores
Big Punch Studios: Afterlife Inc.
TKO: Pound For Pound and Sentient

Those are just a few.

I used to read Marvel comic books like Spiderman and X-Men when I was a little kid.
