Find out what it is about and then either donate or not, or how much to donate depending on the cause and what it means to me.

Wife and I donate to our favoured charity via our bank.
We politely decline others.

We normally have them standing outside the stores collecting and there are a few I will always support.

say no

im VERY choosy about which charities i support, and i will support them when i want to, not be pressurised in to it (i only really support Help For Heroes (for non brits its a charity that provides help for military veterans, especially those from very recent conflicts) and the Cat Protection League)

If I have spare change, and it is a charity I support, I will donate. If it is not, or I have no spare change, I won't.
