Aidan Jackson spent six hours filling the Select Stadium in Widnes with 10,500 teddy bears to raise money for the Olivia Alice Foundation.

The 14-year-old, who is from the town, made it his mission to fill the rugby stadium with as many teddy bears as possible to honour, Olivia Walker.

Aidan was sent bears from all over the world, including China.

One woman donated 500 bears.

He told the Liverpool Echo: ‘My sister was in China at the time and she was telling people about the project. Her professor told everyone to buy teddies.’

Aidan met Olivia, who loved stuffed animals, at a swimming club but she died two years ago from complications due to her disabilities.

He has raised more than £2,6000 for the Olivia Alice Foundation since it was created last year.

The money raised by the charity donates equipment to hospitals."
