The whole sugary, "We can help the less fortunate.". Isn't enough and lambasted as sentimental garbage.

Anyway, a post-liberal would differentiated from a liberal - in that they want an alternate universe - where western civilization didn't exist at all! Anyway, do you agree these people somewhat, all the way?

It's safe to surmise that only a couple of these titles will ever be seen by the majority of filmgoers. But even these foment smarter, more thoughtful conversations about prejudice and inequality than "Green Book." “Black Panther,” by far the most commercially successful of the nominees listed here, takes on these themes in a way that honors the thorniness of the topic while mesmerizing the audience. In the simplest terms it asks what an African country might have achieved had colonialism never altered its course, and what responsibility the rulers of such a nation would have to the oppressed black people around the world.

That is a conversation about structural injustice, clothed in a first-rate superhero action film.

The wheels in Hollywood and New York don't watch their own movies.

If they did, they wouldn't make most of the garbage they make for the large and small screens.

People want to watch sentimental garbage?
Honestly. Where have you been all of these years?

People have been doing this for decades. Hell, it's been going on long before Charles Mansion had Sharon Tate murdered. People who could care less about politics and the opinions of tv will continue to watch the so called sentimental garbage and will be watching all sorts of trash even long after we are all dead and buried. People keep paying to see it because they want to and not because they have to.

Nothing we can do about it. So why worry about it?

I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. People do meaningless things every day. If it's their time they want to waste, than so be it.

Well, I'm not really sure if Green Book is sentimental garbage - but just an honest portrayal of life at that time.

Well ain’t this author the biggest racist. It’s that kind of writing that make people see hate behind every corner. Anyways sentimental movies and plays have been a part of our culture since we first started entertaining each other thousands of years ago.
