As Week Two of the NFL’s 100th season kicks off, a quick look through social media finds many fans still wondering about all the empty seats as their favorite teams hit the gridiron.
The worst example appeared to be at L.A. Memorial Coliseum where the Rams were battling the visiting New Orleans Saints. Fans flooded social media with questions over the size of the crowd:

"A ton of empty seats in the Coliseum halfway thru the first quarter. There's a sizable Who Dat crowd here. "

Finnish Vaahteraliiga (Maple League) season just ended last weekend. Helsinki Roosters took 8th consecutive title, longest streak in 40-year history of the league.

Don't know about this year, but some years back I remember reading that tickets to the final (Vaahteramalja=Maple Bowl) were 6€ (for adults). That says something about the state of the sport here.

Another week, more empty seats:

By the time the NFL’s Week 3 games had come and gone on Sunday, there were many fans on social media still left wondering why stadiums across the nation seemed so empty.
The Los Angeles Chargers may be second in the AFC West in this early part of the season, but some fans feel their attendance is in last place. As the Chargers welcomed the Houston Texans to the recently re-named Dignity Health Sports Park (formerly StubHub Center), many fans noticed the empty seats:

A "Perfect Storm".

1. Asinine behavior by players including political nonsense while being paid millions to play a game, and rampant off the field criminal stupidity by players and others, including owners.

2. The overall quality of game play and key games being decided by the refs.

3. What used to be "special" happening only on Sunday Afternoon and One Game on on Monday Night now seems to happen all week long.

4. Ticket prices and enough commercialism to choke a great white.
