Liverpool have accepted a £15 million transfer offer from Premier League rivals Bournemouth for Jordan Ibe.
Ibe, facing an uncertain future at Anfield after a disappointing 2015/16 season, has now been given permission to discuss personal terms with Eddie Howe’s side.
Former Reds boss Brendan Rodgers entrusted his faith in the 20-year-old, widely tipped by Liverpool fans to fill the boots Raheem Sterling left behind following his £49m move to Manchester City last summer.
In truth Ibe failed to live up to the billing. Used sparingly by Jurgen Klopp when the German replaced Rodgers, the young Englishman regularly found himself a sat resigned to the substitutes bench.
Now the England Under-21s international must decide if he wants to fight for his place in the Liverpool team or opt for regular first-team football at Bournemouth, according to the Liverpool Echo.
