I don't believe companies should be held responsible for what consumers do with their products. It is the person who used the gun to be solely responsible for what he did with them.

This case should be appealed and sent to the US supreme court to overrule this poorly made decision by the Connecticut supreme court.

By the way, Adam Lanza stole all his guns from his mother that had legally purchased them who he murdered first before going on his rampage. Let's just forget that detail when pushing these hostile anti gun owner and seller laws because they don't fit the narrative.

Congress passed the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, which restricts lawsuits against gun sellers and makers by granting industry wide immunity from blame when one of their products is used in a crime. Does the PLCAA not apply here?

Plus the weapon was sold legally to the shooter's mother. The shooter murdered his mother to gain control of the weapon in question.

The Connecticut Supreme Court dealt a major blow to the firearms industry on Thursday, clearing the way for a lawsuit to move forward against the companies that manufactured and sold the semiautomatic rifle used by the gunman in the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Thoughts?
Not quite clearing the way. It will get moved up the chain of courts for a eventual lose.
