Is there a list someplace of the 'groups' on the board?

And if there were, for instance, a group dedicated to controversial topics....

How would one get added to said group?

Right now there is only one group and that's the +18 group. To join this group please select the join group option and a request will be sent for access to this group.

The group dedicated to controversial topics after some discussion was deemed not a good idea and that one was scratched. You can read the discussion here.
