"During a police raid in Paraguay, officers were surprised to find a drug lord living the life of luxury in his three-room cell.
The slammer looks more like a hotel suit with a conference room, library, en-suite bathroom and kitchen, reports BBC News.
Occupied by Brazilian drug lord, Jarvis Chimenes Pavao, the Tacumbu Prison cell also featured air conditioning, a big screen plasma TV, treadmill and a DVD collection.
The inmate was close to completing his sentence for money laundering, when police turned over his cell and ‘destroyed’ the contents.
He has since been moved to a special unit and an investigation has been launched to uncover the prison officials involved in the cell’s lavish makeover.
Prisoners told Agence France-Presse that men were expected to pay Pavao $600 (£450) a week if they wanted to rent the space."
