Not exactly stupid but I don't like the modern wind compensation in ski jumping.
It takes interest from watching the jumps when his score is something between ten meters more and less than where he landed, decided by some complicated math using half dozen wind measurements.

I don't mind sports having "gentleman" rules, like the tennis and golf examples. That's only a problem when it doesn't fit in the sport, like in hockey getting 2 minutes for breaking your stick (as unsportsmanlike conduct, while game isn't on).
